Position Purpose:

As a Software Development Engineer, Tech/Team Lead, you will work under minimal supervision on a team that is charged with implementing clients onto the BillMatrix Next architecture. You will be responsible for leading the client through architecting a payment solution as well as assisting with researching and identifying client specific requirements, defining the implementation solution, and overseeing the technical engineering performed by the configuration engineers and QA efforts . You will also have the opportunity to identify process improvements to increase the productivity of the team and improve overall product quality. In addition to leading a team in an agile like manner, this position has direct visibility and engagement with the Director of Client Implementations, providing a good level of visibility and growth within the company.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients to architect a payment solution and lead technical discussions (SSO, API, etc)

  • Design and document the technical solution (integration of the client into the solution, integration between systems to achieve desired flow)

  • Diagnose/troubleshoot issues with the technical implementation or the operating environment as it relates to the implementation

  • Provide clear technical direction to the implementation team

  • Assist the business system analysts with identifying requirement gaps and work with partner teams on gap resolution or product enhancement requests

  • Perform Code walkthroughs to validate changes are appropriate and to standards

  • Directly perform configurations as needed in highly complex system areas

  • With the use of cross functional teams, determines cause and effect analysis to stand up projects that will solve for complex service delivery issues

  • Resolves problems and conflicts among projects and partners within and across teams to enhance collaborative efforts

  • Provides mentoring of to up to 10 associates (i.e. coaching, development, and training)

  • Performs other duties as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field/job experience

Job Related Experience:

  • 5-7 years of development experience desired

  • 3-5 years of infrastructure experience desired

  • Experience in Enterprise/SAS applications is needed

  • Experience developing high volume transactional environments

  • Team/Tech Lead experience preferred

Travel Required: Up to 25%
