Job Title: Engineer

Carry out Turner Subcontracts with respect to scopes of work, contract volumes and other contractual obligations. Inform and monitor prospective trade/subcontractors on design and updates. Ensure subcontractors are performing all tasks as required under latest contract documents.
Collect required product data and shop drawings from subcontractors. Review and submit to design team. Return collaborative comments, coordinate, resolve conflicts among subcontractors from engineering perspective. Generate and update RFIs between designer, employer, and subcontractors. Assist Project Engineer with impact on cost/schedule related to RFI.
Perform quantity take-offs of issued changes. Verify subcontractors' cost estimate for related changes. Resolve conflicts.
Develop close-out matrix, collect required documents, organize and submit to owner. Prepare final records including RFIs, close-out records, warranties, as-builts, operation and maintenance manuals, attic stock, and evaluate information to insure compliance with contract documents.
Assist Project Engineer in publishing financial logs for Owner meetings and monthly reports. Assist with punchlist in systems.
Oversee and make decisions related to contract drawings and subcontract information. Ensure that all drawings and specifications properly relate to the estimate. Manage cost/schedule impact related to scope change and design change.
Manage project budget. Develop financial reports including General Conditions, General Requirements, staff and labor study; and make accurate projections including insurance and tax. Monitor cash position for the project. Collect subcontractor payment applications. Work with Accounting and Cost Engineers to finalize monthly Payment Application and submit to Owner.
Manage the overall submission process. Facilitate meetings (at frequency needed) to track progress and determine deadlines with Assistant Engineer, design team, and Owner. Oversee compliance of submission procedures.
Price and manage change orders. Verify change estimates and obtain architect and owner approval. Negotiate change orders with Subcontractors or Owners. Develop and manage change order logs. Validate final revenue before final payment application submitted.
Oversee the project close-out and financial close-out process. Develop and review final project close-out documents, and financial close-out documents to Owner.
Supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns, including providing input on performance appraisals.
Prepare scope of work document for prospective trades/subcontractors. Collect and manage risk management document. Develop procurement schedule, work with purchasing agents to conduct post bid interviews and make final selections.
Chair meetings with subcontractors, design teams, or Owner for collaborations or negotiations.
Assess risks on projects and make recommendations to Project Manager and the team.
Utilize specialized tools to create, analyze and evaluate project schedule. Monitor project budget accordingly.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Related Field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in the Related Occupation.

Collaborating with and supporting project field engineers and superintendents with accurate construction documents and solutions.
