AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer for employment in the Atlanta, GA office. Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer:

  • Knowledge of various water practice areas including collection, distribution, storage and treatment of water, wastewater and stormwater

  • Strong organizational skills and be willing to work on multiple assignments with varied project managers

  • He/she must have the basic understanding of other disciplines and be able to integrate successfully with them

  • The candidate should have strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of treatment related and open channel flow computer based models will also be beneficial

  • Excellent written and oral communication will be needed to coordinate with technical and non-technical staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams

  • Minimum 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment projects

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Course work or experience with focus on water and wastewater treatment design, including open channel flow and pumping systems calculations, collecting and analyzing of wastewater flows and parameters, compilation of process flow diagrams and the basic knowledge of treatment equipment related to the different treatment processes

  • Wastewater collection system planning/modeling, and conceptualizing of treatment plant components

  • Masters Degree
