Job Summary This position is located at the ECI Whitepath � Blue Ridge Facility. The Quality Engineer plays a key role in the monitoring and measuring of Customer, Internal, and Supplier quality performance metrics; and takes action to correct issues using established problem solving techniques. You will be required to guide specialized support teams to address issues and regular tasks in a production environment. This role requires the use of judgment, critical thinking, risk tolerance, and independent decision making when managing workload. This position requires that you convey an urgency to resolve customers� problems by reflecting a positive, friendly, and professional disposition during problem resolution. Duties and Requirements of the Job: Technical Support �Maintain the Quality Management System and all related activities for the facility �Conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard �Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (REACH, conflict minerals reporting, etc.) �Liaison for UL audits and maintain records of compliance �Facilitate Continuous Improvement initiatives �Represent ECI manufacturing at customer/supplier engineering/quality meetings �Liaison between customer/supplier and ECI manufacturing for line related quality issues �Review, analyze, and disposition of internal line reject accumulations �Process return material authorizations and financial orders in order to facilitate customer and supplier credits / debits �Lead Problem Solving activities for root cause and corrective action - track open issues (5Why, 8D, etc.) �Monitor performance results (SPC, FPY, etc.) and support production in meeting their targets �Maintain calibration system (third party and internal) and conduct Gage R&R studies �Complete monthly reports of key metrics to be presented to senior management �Develop part inspection techniques and forms to be used by the production staff �Support as required, other ECI activities in the area of Sales, Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, etc. New Product Introduction �Drive PPAP approval activities from suppliers and customers �Provide development and maintenance of Flow Charts, FMEA�s, Control Plans, and Dimensional Studies �Provide assistance at customer / supplier locations including problem solving �Assist in developing internal timelines to meet customer program timing requirements General �Perform all activities in accordance with customer and agency (UL, etc) requirements �Other duties as assigned by the Plant Quality Manager or Corporate Quality Manager Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job: �Effective communication skills with all levels (assembly operators to senior management) in day to day activities �Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications related to electrical assemblies and wire harnesses �Ability to manage multiple program events and changing priorities such that objectives are met �Technical skills to rework product as needed �Ability to formulate and implement solutions to problems �Willing to voice concerns and take appropriate action in a timely fashion over any perceived risk whether for new, existing, or obsolete product / service kits �Ability to work both in a team environment and independently with limited supervision �Willingness & ability to travel to various customers, suppliers and manufacturing locations �Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) �Experience with AIAG core tools (APQP, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, SPC) Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job: �Technical Diploma or Degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (other degrees subject to review) �2 - 5 years manufacturing experience in an En
